Job Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the complete Payroll process of employees—ensuring that pay, bonuses and deductions are calculated correctly and paid on time.
  • Maintain tax guidelines with a profound understanding to ensure that compliance is earned in all federal and local levels, and efile payroll taxes as well as year-end reports.
  • Handle the connection between HRIS and payroll systems to make sure that employee information, including vacations and raises, is properly represented.
  • Act as first-line problem resolution contact for employees inquiring about paychecks, tax withholdings and benefit deductions; provide understandable and complete explanations.
  • Auditing payroll files for regular checking of the records to detect errors before they affect employees or influence the company’s capital.
  • Oversee the rollout of new payroll technology or software updates in order to enhance efficiency and security in payroll processing.

Skills Required:

  • Expertise in payroll software and ERP applications for high-volume data management and complex calculation automation for a large, heterogeneous workforce.
  • An in-depth understanding of tax laws, social security legislations & employment standards to ensure the company is fully compliant with all statutory obligations.
  • Immaculate attention to detail: capable of catching the slightest glitches in data input or calculation that could generate million-dollar mistakes.
  • Good analytical skills to do payroll reconciliations, labour cost tracking, and financial reporting, which could deliver real value to the management team of the company.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality in managing financial data, personal employee information and the utmost business ethics.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills: Ability to articulate complex tax and payroll concepts in a way that is clear to employees; able to work closely with finance and HR.
