The HR Generalist is a jack-of-all-trades at Talent Gait. You will get your hands dirty in every aspect of the HR lifecycle: recruiting, relations, policy and compliance. It’s a broad position for someone who enjoys variety and wants to learn how every function in air traffic control, HR version, plays into a thriving, healthy work force.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and the last day of employment for an employee.
  • Oversee employee benefits such as health insurance and retirement plans, making sure that all employees are aware of their options and meet any eligibility requirements.
  • Create and maintain HR policies and procedures to enable the business to be compliant with increasingly complex local and national labour law.
  • Act as a neutral third party to address employee relations concerns in a safe, confidential environment through which employees can resolve conflicts with co-workers.
  • Facilitate the annual performance evaluation cycle by helping managers to define workable objectives and develop actionable feedback for their direct reports.
  • Keep reliable HR information and prepare reports for turnover, diversity and engagement to back up the company’s strategic orientation towards people.

Skills Required:

  • Solid understanding of all areas of HR, i.e. recruitment, payroll, benefits and labour relations, to provide a full range of support to the business.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to gain the trust and confidence of employees at all levels and communicate complex company policies in an easily understandable manner.
  • Good organizational and multitasking skills to manage various HR engagements at the same time without sacrificing the quality or accuracy of work.
  • Experience in HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) navigation to support data entry, monitor performance metrics and provide meaningful departmental reports.
  • Ability to problem-solve about sensitive employee matters and foster innovative solutions that balance individual wants with business needs on an enterprise level.
  • In-depth professionalism and discretion in dealing with sensitive personal information and workplace investigations.
