Job Roles & Responsibilities:
- Create and implement company-wide policies to ensure a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment for all members of the Talent Gait team.
- Conduct workplace investigations into complaints of grievances, harassment or policy violations, and facilitate an equitable, impartial and confidential process for all parties.
- Serve as a neutral third party and mediate employee or manager-team conflicts, while ensuring lasting, viable solutions.
- Survey and focus-group employees; create execution plans to address any identified employee morale issues.
- Serve as a trusted adviser to senior leaders on difficult people issues such as disciplinary actions and terminations, ensuring they are in compliance with the law and empathy.
- Oversee the company’s employee recognition and rewards initiatives to recognize successes and build a culture of recognition and high performance.
Skills Required:
- High emotional intelligence and empathy in dealing with vulnerable employee matters sensitively while remaining level-headed, impartial and fair.
- Knowledgeable in labour laws and employment practices to manage all disciplinary actions and investigation ensuring it is legally defensible.
- Good mediation and conflict resolution abilities to defuse intense situations and steer the involved parties toward a professional mutual agreement.
- Superior communication skills to facilitate the communication of difficult decisions to employees and coach managers on team leadership.
- Analytical ability to read engagement data; spot trends that may point to underlying cultural issues impacting employee turnover or team productivity overall.
- Strong bedside manner with exceptional discernment and trustworthiness in working with sensitive, private information in both the company leadership and employee bases.
